Every Wednesday 5pm to 8pm, Mytchett-based Mexicali’s Mexican street food truck is in the Club’s car park. Next dates APR 22nd, 29th and then MAY 6th, 13th, 19th.
Now in their 14th year Mexicali serves tasty Burritos, Nachos, Tacos, Quesadillas with choices of Chicken / Pork / Veggie or Vegan* fillings crammed with Mexican flavours including pico de gallo, chipotle, cilantro:
- Pico de gallo = fresh, chunky salsa made from finely diced tomatoes, onions, chillies cilantro, lime juice
- Chipotle = smoked, dried, mildly spicy, sweet jalapeno pepper
- Cilantro = fresh green leaves of the corriander herb plant, same one which gives us corriander seeds
With an exemplary 5* food hygene rating for each of the past 6 years Mexaicali’s typical menu choices include gluten free nachos and tacos as well as choices for vegetarians and vegans:
Burritos – large soft flour tortilla with your choice of chipotle chicken / citrus garlic pork / chicken fajita / veggie / vegan* and a filling of black beans, cheese, fresh lime, pico de gallo & sour cream.
Nachos – White and yellow corn tortilla chips with your choice of chipotle chicken / citrus garlic pork / chicken fajita / just cheese / veggie / vegan* and covered with melted cheese, black beans, fresh salsa, sour cream.
Tacos – mini soft corn tortillas with your choice of chipotle chicken / citrus garlic pork / chicken fajita / veggie / vegan* and filled with cheese, fresh salsa, sour cream plus tortilla chips on the side.
Quesdadillas – large soft flour tortilla with your choice of chipotle chicken / citrus garlic pork / chicken fajita / veggie / vegan* and a filling of cheese, fresh salsa, sour cream plus tortilla chips on the side.
* Vegan option excludes dairy items
