Important Notice to all members

To our valued members

As the global concern about the current COVID-19 outbreak grows, we are doing our best to keep everyone healthy and safe when visiting The Frimley Green Club whilst trying to minimise the disruption to our employees and members.

We are closely monitoring the situation and the committee have set up regular meetings to keep on top of the daily updates.

Until we are advised otherwise, we will be keeping the club open, however there have been some things we have had to consider.

Cleaning Schedules – on top of our strict health and hygiene schedule, we have now introduced the following:

  • Hourly disinfectant cleaning of all handles and anywhere you may place your hands.
  • Staff will now be wearing gloves whilst handling dirty glasses and we have placed a tray at the end of the bar, once you have finished your drink, please can you bring your glass and place it in the tray. This minimises the staffs need to walk around the club
  • Staff have been advised to clean their hands every 30 minutes

Events – we take everyone’s health very seriously, so we have taken the difficult decision to cancel all events up until (but not including) 10th April 2020.

This does include our Queen event which will be scheduled for later in the year. For those who have purchased tickets, please hand your ticket into the club and we will issue you with a full refund (this is only given if ticket is presented)

Until further notice, this Wednesday will be the last Bingo session and Thursday will be the last of the lunches we are offering. As soon as we can recommence, we will inform you.

The AGM will be postponed – we will confirm a new date for this in the next few weeks.

The meat raffle has also been postponed until further notice.

We are expecting clearer guidelines from the Government in the next few days so please keep looking out our Facebook page for updates.

We have had to also take the difficult decision to staff the club with a reduced number of staff. Please be patient during this time.

We would also remind everyone to take care of one another so If you experience cold, flu-like symptoms, or simply a running nose, please stay home. Because the coronavirus produces cold-like symptoms in 80% of infected individuals, it’s important to remain at home when ill regardless of how mild your symptoms are. If you have a fever over 100 degrees, please stay home for 14 days to ensure you have not contracted the coronavirus.

Finally, we would like to help the community. If there are any members who you know are vulnerable and may need assistance during this time, please call the club on 01252 835322. We are happy to arrange any shopping or pharmacy collections during this time. It is important during this crisis that we work together to take care of our community.

Please make sure you all stay safe and we will keep you all updated as we learn more
