It’s back to the Atlanta stadium for the semi final of the 2026 World Cup, Argentina vs England. Both teams have played a match here already (England vs DR Congo; Argentina vs Egypt).

While there’s so much which could be said about England and Argentina as a past in football and a past in global events none of that is what this match is about.
Wednesday’s game is for a place in the final of the 2026 World Cup or for a place in the third-place playoff.
Neither team goes home at the end of this match, they both stay for one more after this.
